Adult protective underwear is made in a pull-up style, and the fit is designed to be comfortable, with a flexible, elastic waistband. They are waterproof and disposable, with a fit similar to regular underwear. Some types have tear strips on the side to make disposing of them easier. This style would be a great solution for moderate to heavy incontinence and are definitely easier to use for reasonably active people who are able to change themselves, while adult briefs would be better for those with limited mobility where a care giver is needed for changing, since they have adhesive tabs on each side.

The best way to determine what size adult protective underwear you need is to first measure the size of your waist. Each of our products has a size chart that highlights the size ranges in inches. For example if you are a male that currently has a 40 inch waist, you would look at the size chart for the product you wish to purchase and determine which size range a 40 inch waist falls into. Please note that the size chart is unique to every product and that sizing is not universal.

When determining the level of absorbency for adult protective underwear, one needs to consider if their incontinence urinary flow is light, moderate or heavy. Light Incontinence: Occasional leakage during certain events, such as laughing or light lifting. Additionally individuals may experience light leakage when the bladder is full

Moderate Incontinence: Occasional moderate flow of urine and frequent dribbling. This would be ideal for individuals requiring constant protection against adult incontinence.

Heavy Incontinence: For individuals who have little or no control over their bladder function and requires constant leakage protection and containment against a heavy urine flow.
